ANSWERING A COMMON CONCERN:

• ***Brass shavings WILL NOT interfere with annealing wheels / operation. This is no different than any other prep center. When standing upright, 95% of shavings will gather around the attachments, for easy clean up. Anything that falls outside of it are quite minimal, and most caught by the chute, which can be easily wiped off with finger tip or a small brush. Wheel design has space between, so anything shavings would fall right through. The steel rod attached to the wheel is a circular design, and shaving does NOT build up in this area. 
• If laid on the handle, you can put a catcher below it to catch any brass shavings.

Burstfire - Primer Pocket Go-Gauge Set

• Never guess again if your primer pockets were properly reamed or swaged.

• It can also be attached to an existing industry standard 8/32 threaded hand tool handle, to maximize comfort.
• We all want a tight primer pocket, that will not loosen up before our brass fails. Especially if you use expensive brass.
• Using small primer pocket as an example. Our small gauge is made to 0.1725. Variation for small primers is 0.1745 - 0.1755 in diameter. ***Majority of small primers will be 0.175.
• We have found, a .175 primer, can be inserted in a .1725 pocket on a press, but may meet some resistance at .1755 (Will not work in most cases if hand priming. In this case simply set up the reamer / Swager to go just a tad bit further). 
• if you want the highest level of precision and control, this is it. But keep in mind there are variations from brand to brand, and lot to lot. Cup thickness is a factor in if it will fit or how easily it will fit as well. 

Primer Pocket Uniformer Set

• Purpose of primer pocket uniformer is to ensure / return primer pocket depth to SAAMI spec.
  
• How is this one different? Ours doesn’t do any of the below……
  
• All pocket uniformer on the market are made way too small. Result is it creates a circular wobble when attempting to “uniform” the pocket. Which results in more effort/time to cut and uniform the pocket, and often times, creates an uneven cut. Not this one.
  
• Have you ever heard of someone telling you they can remove crimp using their uniformer? Well, that unfortunately means it is made too big and is removing material on the side of the primer pockets. Not this one. 
  
• Purpose: Uniform uneven primer pockets, to ensure reliable primer ignition, and/or to prevent the possibility of slam-fire from primer not being seated deep enough.

What Is Annealing?

Annealing means heat treating the neck and shoulder of a brass cartridge case to make it softer so it will seal the chamber during firing. Unlike steel, brass gets softer as you heat treat it, not harder. What makes brass cartridges become harder is firing the cases in your gun, and then working them in your reloading dies. Both those operations will cause brass to harden, which leads to splits and cracks in the cases.

Why Do We Anneal Brass?

Reason 1: Cost of brass has been on the rise over the last several years. Depending on what you load, brass can be expensive, and you want to make it last as long as you possibly can. Anneal your brass will extend its life, so you can reload it more times. One of the first signs that it’s time to anneal is splitting at the case mouth, or cracks in the neck or shoulders of your brass. Another thing to look out for is if it suddenly takes more pressure, or less pressure, to seat bullets into the cases than it used to. Once symptoms like these appear, many shooters think the brass is no longer usable and discard it. But as long as the primer pockets are still tight, these cartridge cases are still useable - if you anneal them properly.

Reason 2: Annealing and precisely/uniformly prepping your brass cases improves the consistency of muzzle velocities, and enhance accuracy. Many competitive shooters anneal their brass cases after every firing, to improve the consistency on the release of each bullet as precisely the same as possible. Annealing definitely helps accuracy, in particular to eliminate “fliers” sometimes occurring in otherwise normal groups.

Reason 3: Anneal brass cases is if you are reforming them from a larger case to a smaller case, such as in making wildcat cartridges. When you set the shoulder back on the case, the neck walls will thicken from the shoulder’s extra brass, which will harden up as you work it into the new configuration. This area of the worked brass needs to be annealed so that when it is fireformed, it will seal the chamber and properly form out to the new configuration.

The Bernzomatic Classic Brass Torch has a durable, brass construction and an adjustable, pencil flame profile. This versatile, manual-ignition torch works best for basic projects including small diameter soldering and thawing frozen locks and pipes. For optimal performance, use upright. This is a replacement part for our Burstfire 2 in 1 Brass Case Annealer & Case Prep Center.

The Frankford Arsenal Platinum Series Rotary Tumbler delivers a whole new level of brass cleaning performance. The large volume drum holds up to 1000 pieces of.223 brass and has a molded-in rubber lining to protect brass and dampen noise during operation. A built-in timer in the base can be set to run from 0 to 3 hours shutting off automatically. A set of sifting end caps is also included to assist in separating the stainless media once tumbling is complete. The tumbler can effectively clean without the use of stainless media pins with a mixture of Frankford Brass Cleaning Solution and water (use of media pins ensures primer pockets and inside of cases are perfectly clean). Five pounds of 304 stainless media pins and a sample packet of Frankford Brass Cleaning Solution are included. It's the most effective brass cleaning process available with a large 7 liter capacity.

Reloading ammunition requires attention to many critical cartridge dimensions, including case length, neck and base diameters, overall length, primer pocket depth, etc. Verifying these dimensions is quick and convenient with the Frankford Arsenal Calipers. The calipers are accurate to within .001-Inch. The calipers allow you to measure inside and outside diameters, plus depths. You will find them useful for many measuring tasks on and off the reloading bench. Packaged in a convenient and protective case.

The Frankford Arsenal Platinum Series Hand Deprimer is made of robust die cast aluminum and features a (patent pending) Universal Collet System. In just 4 easy steps you can deprime your spent brass by hand. No need to set up your press and reset your dies to deprime a few cases. This system is fully contained. It even captures the spent primers in a collection tube so you can dump them later. The Universal Collet System can handle brass from .20 cal all the way up to .338 Lapua. This deprimer can even deprime pistol brass, and military crimped primers are easily removed.

The Frankford Arsenal Quick-n-EZ Case Tumbler provides a quick, easy and economical means to cleaning your brass. Used in conjunction with Frankford Arsenal Walnut or Corn Cob Medias, the Quick-n-EZ Case Tumbler removes fouling, lube and oxidation quickly and conveniently. The Frankford Arsenal Quick-n-EZ Case Tumbler will hold up to 600 9mm or 350 .223 cases.
