Reloading dies, case prep tools / equipment and accessories.
I recently bought a Burstfire annealing machine and some accessories. The service was excellent and the products were as good as advertised. I recommend these folks if you are looking for the best of both!!!
This makes it easy to adjust & works great. I would recommend it to anyone that’s used this style of heat treater 👍
Thanks Mike
Add some sort of a strap behind the machine for what ever gas you are using.
Fast, consistent and user friendly.
Its worth every penny.
needed this a long time ago quick clean up
The little short case adapter works very well for pistol/revolver length cases.
I’m not sure why it’s not included with the main unit, but I have it now at no charge so all is well.
Product is great ! I even purchased another set for a friend!
It is great to be able to prep my cases and anneal on one machine. Works well.
Nice to have parts available when you screw up and ruin your torch.
Thanks for including this. Pretty clear from the design why you do and it generally works as planned to protect the wheel from the flame. No obvious effect on the paint or rubber rings after the first few uses (~100 cases).
For 6GT, the brass seems to be right on the cusp so it sometimes falls forward. Haven't tried without the wedge or moving it around and that may do the trick.
This is my first annealer so truly nothing to compare in my hands. But compared to price and capabilities of comparable annealers, this is the best value as it's similar in price plus adds the case prep station. Both work well and have a nice toggle between the annealer and case prep. Truly, the latter is a nice to have as I've always done that by hand. Definitely faster and no apparent quality difference. The only con is that it takes a minute to get the speed and flame set in the dark and sometimes it needs adjusting on the fly as the fule canister changes. That's all explained in the instructions and videos and quite easy.
OK vs an AMP annealer, it could never be as exacting based on design. But, if you are here, you know the vast price difference. I'm not a competitor so can't justify the AMP price. For case life? Time will tell. Uniformity of neck tension, obvious on the first set of brass. The reviews all say it's about case life. Not for me. I was struggling with keeping neck tension consistent after a few firings. With this I'm changing fewer sizer collets to get them on point. So it's a win. The wedge for short cases (6GT for me) is handy to keep the cases off the wheel. It also makes a few fall off the wheel so maybe I just need to move it around a little. Haven't tried it in long action or magnum cases yet but am optimistic. Shipping was decent, packaging was solid, overall quite happy.
Just learning about neck tension. This is a much need tool to aid in accuracy by insuring each cartridge had the same neck tightness. I am just learning but I think I understand why neck tension is necessary.
As for the tool.
Works great but there are a couple of thinks that could be improved.
The tool caliber needs to be stamped on the tool somewhere because the tools all look alike.
It would help if the diameter steps could be identified also.
This is a quality tool that should be on every reloaders bench.
I installed mine of the vintage Lyman wooden handle.
From my order I was kept well informed of my order status, Induction annealer arrived was very easy to set up and has worked flawlessly since I have changed to anneal various case no problems at all, I would recommend one of these to anyone who wants to start annealing, Great Value for your money
