Each Burstfire Neck Tension Gauge features 5 stepped diameters, machined in 0.001" increments, starting 0.001" below bullet diameter.
Simply insert the gauge into your sized case neck:
- Stops at 1st notch: ~0.001" neck tension
- Stops at 2nd notch: ~0.002"
- Stops at 3rd–5th notch: Up to ~0.005"
- Bottoms out: Not enough neck tension
- Won’t insert to top step: More than ~0.005" — excessive tension
This gives you an instant, repeatable reading without calipers, mandrels, or guesswork.
